Description
Top quality Napoleon III tall chest of drawers , known as a semainier / writing deskFrench circa 1870's this Paris quality Piece veneered with rosewood and amboyna nice gilded bronze mounts
One of the drawers has a drop down front which reveals the writing surface
Having original white marble top and we have had new keys cut one for drawer
This piece has been through our workshops and been cleaned and burnished to bring out the wonderful patina
A very unusual feature of this piece is that the top and base can be unbolted from the main body I have never seen this on one of these before
The draw liners are made up from solid oak and the top edges are veneered with rosewood
