Very pretty and decorative early 20th century ladies writing desk.
Dating to about circa 1915, this delightful desk has hand-painted floral designs onto a pale green background. Standing on eight tapered and decorated legs with original brass castors, the desk has nine smoothly running drawers with brass handles and working locks. The drawer linings are solid and well dovetailed.
The top writing surface replicates the colour of the base and is hand-painted around the edges with flowers and flower buds.
