Description
Fine quality Secretaire with Marquetry and ormolu . C 1910.This secretaire has 4 smoothly running drawers and behind the central marquetry panel are 3 stationary drawers veneered in amboyna. The fall is fitted with its original leather writing surface which is in good condition. The chest is veneered in various exotic woods including Rosewood, satinwood and amboyna and retains a mellow patina.
An antique item of writing furniture combined with a large area of storage, all being lockable and secure This secretaire also has various decorative ormolu features including feet and escutcheons. The top is capped off with a mottled and veined marble which has been well repaired. The back is solid panels.
The dimensions are height 54 ins. depth 16 ins .width 31 ins
