MILITARY SEARCHLIGHT ON STAND
A Francis of Bolton adjustable SEARCHLIGHT on a brass and wood Military tripod stand.

The Searchlight was designed to be either tripod mounted or "cabin" roof mounted on military vehicles or Naval craft.

The lamp has been rewired and PAT tested to 240 volts. Originally it would have been 12 volt so we have removed the glass (available) to prevent heat build up in the casing.

Height in photo 165 cms, although can be adjusted.

'Spread' of legs approx. 40 cms.

DENTAL INDUSTRIAL FLOORSTANDING LAMP
A unique Lamp ....fashioned, in the lower part, from of a 1950's Electric Dentist drill made by the Dental Manufacturing Co of London ( and named the Alston).
It has been joined by a fully adjustable Herbert Terry Air Ministry workshop type lamp, c 1940's....
Wired and PAT Tested to current regulations.

Base measures 38 by 24 cms.
Height to the top adjusting joint of lamp is 175 cms.

HMV LAMP TOWER
A totally unique tower lamp fashioned from four HMV heaters.

These mid century appliances have been stripped back to stylish black with contrasting chrome strips, and mounted together, with a bulb in each section...giving a very atmospheric downlighter effect.

Wired and tested to current specifications.

STAGE LIGHT ON TRIPOD
A 20th century Long Nose 'PAR 64' Stage Light, polished and mounted on an adjustable wood and steel tripod.

One adjustment made with small handle to control swivel. The larger handle can adjust the angle.

Lamp can be taken off tripod.

'Cell' holder supplied, together with several colour 'cells'.

Wired and tested to current regulations.

This lamp uses a 'belting' amount of amps so has no in-line switch.

DENTIST DRILL LAMP
A Standard or Reading Lamp fashioned from a treadle operated Dentist Drill Stand from the turn of the 19th / 20th. Centuries.

Retaining its original painted finish a Copper shade has been added from a 1920's Heat lamp, which can be adjusted to give both 'Reading' and 'Uplighter' effect.

Height maximum approximately 67 inches.

Bras candlesticks. French C 1870
Fine pair of French pressed and turned Brass candlesticks. C1870

Shown here in a recently polished condition, these delightful brass candlesticks are well balanced and retain a good antique appearance and patination.

They stand approximately 20 inches high with a girth of 10 inches and feature angels in the base.

HIP AND SPINE TABLE LAMP
A quirky tall table lamp fashioned from a medical educational model ( not real bone ! ) of a spine and hips.
Mounted on an old base with a polished brass central column, through which the wiring passes.
It has a vintage milk glass shade, very reminiscent of lamps once found outside Dentist and Doctor's Surgeries, that now displays a slightly humorous message.....

TENNIS LAMP AND CLOCK
A unique table lamp and clock combination, inspired by John McEnroe's 1981 Wimbledon outburst over a line call.

"You cannot be serious"..............

Here, the impression is that the ball appears to actually go under the line....the 'ball' in reality is a working, brass 30 hour clock.

FORD GEARBOX FLOOR LAMP
A floor standing lamp adapted from a Ford Cortina (1960/70) gearbox.

Cleaned, polished and lacquered, the steel and aluminium casing now stands 60 inches tall to the bulb holder (152 cms ) and the base has a maximum 'footprint' of approx 15 inches (38 cms) diameter.

WALKER SHIPS LOG TABLE LAMP
An early 20th Century Thomas Walker's Excelsior Ships Log mounted on a mahogany base with the addition of a lamp.

Polished brass and steel fittings it measures a maximum of 28 inches wide, 10 inches deep and 9 inches high.

INDUSTRIAL ENGINE LAMP
A small "cut away" engine section, mounted on a motor cycle cog, with a winder attached to show the working movement.
The addition of a 1950's machinists anglepoise lamp makes this into a one-off useful display piece.

ART NOUVEAU BRASS DESK LAMP
A superb quality polished brass ART NOUVEAU desk lamp, of a similar design to those of WAS BENSON.

Dating from around 1900, it has two adjustable joints and a 'laurel' carrying handle. It weight a substantial 4 kgs. The base lead weighted.

ARTS AND CRAFTS CLOCK LANTERN
A floor standing lamp incorporating an 8-day clock.

The lantern holds a Marti French movement in good working order, the makers name of "Chartier and Marcus" and "Made in France" are stamped into the dial.

The artisan / blacksmith made stand is hand forged and has fine detail dragon's heads to the platform under the lantern in an Arts and Crafts design.

Lantern rewired and PAT tested to current regulations.
